Denver Health Care Reform: A Bold Approach
A meeting was held Thursday between the Blue Ribbon Commission on Health Care Reform in Denver, Colorado and several of the state’s lawmakers concerning recommendations on health care policy reform.
Democrats and Republicans introduced plans then debated on drastic changes versus an array of minor ones. Major issues such as rising premiums, private insurance systems, and how the reforms will be funded were discussed by a 27-member panel.
Michigan Health Insurance Rules Changing
It was announced today that the rules governing Michigan’s health insurance market are changing. The debate about whether to change the rates for individuals has been ongoing in the state.
Consumers for Fair and Affordable Insurance Reform a newly formed coalition announced on Wednesday that they are supporting the legislation backed by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan.
